Just over a week ago, Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic had yet to record a triple-double this season.

With a season-high 45 points to go with 13 assists and 11 rebounds in Sunday's 143-133 win over the Golden State Warriors, Doncic now has three triple-doubles in his last four games.

Doncic made 16 of 23 shots and matched a season best with six 3-pointers to help the Mavericks (17-9) win for the 12th time in 14 games.

Former Warrior Klay Thompson added 29 points and knocked down seven 3-pointers, as Dallas drained a season-high 21 shots from beyond the arc.

The Mavs started off red-hot, making 14 of their first 19 shots to jump out to a 39-18 lead.

Stephen Curry paced the Warriors (14-11) with 26 points and 10 assists, while Draymond Green had season highs of 21 points and five 3s.

Davis powers Lakers to win over Grizzlies

Anthony Davis matched a season high with 40 points and also tied a season best with 16 rebounds to help the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 116-110.

LeBron James returned after missing the previous two games because of a foot injury, and finished with 18 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in 34 minutes.

Austin Reaves had 19 points and eight assists as the Lakers (14-12) led by as much as 23 points to win for the second time in three games following a 2-7 stretch.

The Southwest Division-leading Grizzlies (18-9) saw their four-game winning streak come to an end, as the league's highest-scoring team lost for just the second time in 12 games.

Jaren Jackson Jr. led Memphis with 25 points and Ja Morant scored 20, but he turned the ball over seven times and made just 6 of 21 shots.

As a team, the Grizzlies had trouble making shots, shooting a season-worst 39.2 per cent after making at least half of their shots in each of their previous three games.

Knicks deal Magic first home loss

The New York Knicks became the first opposing team to win in Orlando, beating the Magic 100-91.

Jalen Brunson scored 31 points and Karl-Anthony Towns added 22 points and a season-high 22 rebounds as the Knicks (16-10) won the opener of a three-game road trip.

Orlando's Moritz Wagner led all scorers with a career-high 32 points and rookie Tristan da Silca added a personal-best 20, but no other Magic player scored in double figures in the opener of a seven-game home-stand.

The Magic, who won't play on the road again until New Year's Day, finished with their fewest points since a 102-86 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on November 4 in losing for the first time at home after opening the season 10-0 in Orlando.

Jalen Suggs struggled mightily, connecting on just 4 of 19 shot attempts and finished with nine points after totalling 58 points in the first two games since losing leading scorer Franz Wagner to an oblique injury.

The Magic have lost four of six overall after winning 12 of their previous 13 games.
