Malaysia's men's doubles pair, Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik, will take to the court with the mission of retaining the bronze medal they won in the previous Olympic Games edition.
Aaron-Wooi Yik, who are considered the 'underdogs' in this Olympic Games edition and are not ranked as the top pair, will face off against the Danish men's doubles representatives, Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen, in the bronze medal match today.
Aaron-Wooi Yik were eliminated in the semifinals stage at the hands of the top-seeded Chinese pair, Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang, in a thrilling match with a score of 19-21, 21-15, 17-21.
As for Astrup-Rasmussen, they failed to overcome the might of the Tokyo Olympic gold medalists from Chinese Taipei, Lee Yang-Wang Chi-Lin, as they lost in a 3-set battle with a score of 21-18, 17-21, 10-21.
