They offered $100 (RM459) to any pair who could beat them to five points, and the reception was tremendous with 15 pairs challenging them as hundreds gathered around the court to cheer on.

Not just that, that engagement video that they uploaded to their Youtube channel  garnered mroe than 1.2 million views.

Following that success, the pair are back again for a sequel engagement at the Setapak Badminton Centre in Kuala Lumpur this Saturday (May 27, 8-10pm).

“The last time we did it spontaneously. We saw the court, we had our bags with us and we wanted to see if anyone wanted to play us. It was a good incentive and an opportunity to interact with our subscribers.

“We got stopped the last time, so we are doing it in a different venue this time with the help of our sponsors. Come and play us again. It's seven points against us, and there will be money as well,” the pair told Stadium Astro.

Their Youtube channel is also gaining in popularity since 2020 as the pair offers a variety of quality content from tips and tutorials to Vlogs and equipment reviews.

“We love the sport and want to help it grow around the world. That’s why we decided to start this channel. People wanted to learn and didn’t have access to coaching, and they also wanted to know what life is like on the World Tour.

“Our videos offer them some insight and value. We do work ourselves too much at times, but we always like doing something on the side. We recently got down to one video every two weeks, before this it was videos every Sunday for two and a half years,” they added.

On court, the world number 29 couldn’t get past the first round after they lost 21-23, 8-21 against third seeds Seo Seung-jae-Chae Yu-jung.
