Malaysian powerhouse, Johor Darul Ta'zim has not only made history by reaching the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Elite (ACLE), but the achievement has also brought significant financial rewards for the Southern Tigers.
By advancing to the last eight of Asia’s premier club competition, JDT is estimated to have earned around US$1.8 million (approximately RM8.5 million) in total prize money from the tournament so far.

Throughout their campaign in the ACLE this season, JDT accumulated prize money from several stages of the competition:
1) US$800,000 -- Participation fee for the league stage
2) US$200,000 -- Bonus for qualifying for the Round of 16
3) US$400,000 -- Reward for reaching the quarter-finals
In addition, the club also received performance bonuses for victories during the league stage, further boosting their overall earnings.
With a place in the quarter-finals secured, JDT still has the opportunity to increase their prize money if they continue their impressive run in the competition.
Should the Southern Tigers progress to the semi-finals or even the final, the financial rewards are expected to grow significantly, making this one of the most profitable continental campaigns in the club’s history.
The historic achievement also strengthens JDT’s reputation as one of Southeast Asia’s most ambitious football clubs, as they continue to raise Malaysia’s profile on the Asian football stage.
