JaVale McGee had a famous spat with Shaquille O'Neal this season, and he'll probably have a similar type of aggression towards whatever unnamed Cavs player said he wasn't "smart enough" for the NBA Finals. While the Cavs player didn't say this publicly, he apparently told it to ESPN's Dave McMenamin who then relayed it on ESPN's "The Basketball Analogy Show."

Here's what McMenamin said to colleague Brian Windhorst:

"I had a Cavs player disagree with your opinion of McGee, Brian. He postulated to me that he doesn't even think McGee's gonna be able to get on the court or certainly not stay on the court because he doesn't think he's quote, unquote 'smart enough' to be able to play in this series."

McGee has actually been a bright spot for the Warriors this season, especially in the playoffs. After struggling to find his rhythm in the league with four other teams, the 7-foot center has found a role coming off the bench for Golden State. But his style may end up being a mismatch for Cleveland.

While McGee is a strong rim protector, he may have to end up defending Kevin Love, who can play on the perimeter, providing a challenge for the big man. McGee could also struggle trying to box out the aggressive Tristan Thompson.

So the Cavs player may have had a point in regards to McGee being challenged in this series, but said it in a manner that could end up being bulletin-board material.
