New York Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau has called for more consistency from NBA officials following the "ridiculous" treatment of Jalen Brunson against the Brooklyn Nets.

Karl-Anthony Towns had 25 points and 16 rebounds, while Brunson scored eight points down the stretch and finished with 17 as the Knicks beat the Nets 99-95.

OG Anunoby scored 20 points and Precious Achiuwa had 11 points off the bench as the Knicks won their second straight game.

D’Angelo Russell finished with 23 points and 10 assists and Cam Johnson scored 16 for the Nets, who have lost four straight games and nine of their last 10.

New York had a double-digit lead in the third quarter before the Nets rallied and moved out to a one-point lead at 88-87 on a 3-pointer by Keon Johnson with 5:18 left.

Brunson missed 10 of his first 14 shots but clicked into gear in the closing stages of the contest, helping the Knicks improve to 29-16 in the Atlantic Division.

Despite the result, Thibodeau was left frustrated by the officiating of Brunson, believing the 28-year-old should have more than the four three-throw attempts he received.

"I just want to take a look at the last play on the drive. I send clips in, I do it all. What goes on with him is ridiculous. It really is. I’ll leave it at that," Thibodeau said.

"I just want consistency. We’re attacking the basket, I’m watching KAT go. I’m watching Jalen go. There’s contact. A foul is a foul.

"A guy gets fouled, you’ve got to call it. It’s your job."

The Knicks return to action this Saturday as they host the Sacramento Kings, while the Nets take on the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.
