This Friday, 11 September, two gifted bantamweight strikers throw down at the previously recorded ONE: A NEW BREED II in Bangkok, Thailand.
In the World Champion versus World Champion main event matchup, Thailand’s Pongsiri PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym faces Ireland’s Sean “Clubber” Clancy.

Pongsiri, a four-time Muay Thai World Champion, has competed in ONE Championship on two occasions, but both instances were in the heavier featherweight division.
In his debut, he suffered a unanimous decision loss to inaugural ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy, but he did take the bout on less than a week’s notice.
Most recently, he faced Sorgraw Petchyindee Academy, but again, due to being the obviously smaller man, he dropped a paper-thin split decision against his compatriot.
His bout against Clancy will be the first time he’s competing in ONE in his natural weight class – a weight class which he dominated outside of the promotion.
The Irishman, on the other hand, will be making his promotional debut, but he is far from green in the Muay Thai world.
Clancy is a WBC Muay Thai World Champion and recipient of the 2019 WBC Muay Thai Fighter Of The Year award.
With that being said, Pongsiri will enter this clash looking to redeem himself and prove that at bantamweight, he will be the unstoppable force the Muay Thai world knows him to be.
“Clubber” will likewise look to impress the global fan base in his debut. But with a stellar 2019, redemption won’t be on his mind when he enters the ONE ring – upsetting the Thai standing across from him, however, will be.
