ONE Championship returned to Singapore with ONE: REIGN OF DYNASTIES on Friday, 9 October, and the show delivered fireworks in both headlining events.

In the main event, two-sport ONE World Champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao scored a second-round TKO win over Josh “Timebomb” Tonna to retain his ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title.

The Thai’s performance was nothing short of amazing, as he countered the Australian’s aggression with masterful left kicks and punches.

The final touch came at 2:30 of the second round when Sam-A scored his third knockdown of the stanza with a devastating straight left, forcing the referee to stop the action.

In the co-main event, #5-ranked flyweight contender Reece “Lightning” McLaren made quick work of previously undefeated Aleksi “The Giant” Toivonen in their mixed martial arts encounter.

Both men traded equally in the early going, but McLaren eventually pinned “The Giant” against the Circle Wall and landed a series of strikes, which allowed him to wrap up his Finnish opponent.

From there, “Lightning” landed a knee to the stomach, which left Toivonen rolling in pain as the referee jumped in to call off the bout at 4:18 of the first round.
