ONE Championship returned home on Friday, 9 October, with the ultra-exciting ONE: REIGN OF DYNASTIES card at Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Now, The Home Of Martial Arts will air its second event from “The Lion City” since COVID-19 restrictions began with the previously recorded ONE: REIGN OF DYNASTIES II this Friday, 16 October.

The upcoming card is filled from floor to ceiling with top Chinese contenders looking to earn their glory in the Circle.

The main event features a ONE Super Series bantamweight kickboxing clash between China’s “Muay Thai Boy” Zhang Chenglong and Japanese icon Hiroki Akimoto.

Akimoto made his promotional debut in 2019 and has scored wins over the likes of ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title challenger Josh “Timebomb” Tonna. 

Zhang, meanwhile, posted three consecutive victories before coming up short against Alaverdi “Babyface Killer” Ramazanov for the inaugural ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Championship last December.

But if the #3-three ranked contender can defeat Akimoto, he may put himself back in line for another World Title shot.

In the co-main event, Muay Thai World Champion and Zhang’s older brother, “Bamboo Sword” Zhang Chunyu, takes on multiple-time Muay Thai World Champion Sagetdao “Deadly Star” Petpayathai in a ONE Super Series featherweight Muay Thai bout.

“Bamboo Sword” would love to make his ONE debut a memorable experience, especially since he’s competing on the same card as his younger brother.

But “Deadly Star” will be looking to make his own mark as he returns to ONE Championship for the first time since 2018 – this time under Muay Thai rules.
