The NHL All-Star game will be heading out west in 2019.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman announced at a press conference Saturday the game will be played in San Jose, Calif.

“We are thankful and thrilled that the National Hockey League has decided, once again, to bring one of its premier events to San Jose,” San Jose Sharks Co-President John Tortora said in a press release. “NHL All-Star Weekend is for our loyal and outstanding fans, who have eagerly anticipated the return of this event, and for the city of San Jose as the hockey world descends to shine an international spotlight on our great city."

This marks just the second time since 2003 that an All-Star game has been played in California, but the game has been played there twice in the last three years. The 2017 All-Star game was in Los Angeles.

It will be the first time the game has been played in San Jose since 1997.
