The Pistons have been reeling in recent weeks, sinking in the Eastern Conference, but that may soon change.

According to ESPN.com, the Pistons and Clippers are engaged in "serious" talks regarding a move for power forward Blake Griffin.

Detroit placed shooting guard Avery Bradley on the trading block Monday after acquiring the former Boston star in July for Marcus Morris. Bradley has struggled with his shot and staying on the court this season.

Griffin, 28, is averaging 22.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game this season. Griffin just signed a five-year, 171 million deal this offseason, and is set to make over $31 million a year from 2018-19 to 2021-22.

Should the Pistons complete the trade, it would include Bradley, Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic and a first-round pick going the other way, The Ringer reported. If that happens, Stanley Johnson would likely move to small forward with Griffin and Andre Drummond teaming up to create a powerful frontcourt.

The trade would also mean more minutes for rookie Luke Kennard. The Pistons selected the former Duke star in the first round of last year's NBA Draft, but he has found playing time hard to come by this season.

The Cavaliers have also been rumored to be interested in Griffin. Kevin Love could be used as a makeweight in any proposed deal in that scenario.
