NBA trade rumors: Kings targeting Wizards SF Otto Porter Jr.

The Kings have their eye on Wizards small forward Otto Porter Jr. for the possibility of a trade, according to The Athletic.

Sacramento is one of the more surprising teams in the NBA this season with a 10-11 record. The team sits a half game out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The Kings have done this without a small forward to count on for much of the season. Iman Shumpert, Justin Jackson and Troy Williams have all seen playing time at the spot this year, but none has stood out.

Porter is having somewhat of a down year for the Wizards as he is averaging 11.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists, but according to The Athletic, the Kings have had their eye on the 2013 No. 3 overall pick and would like to have him on their team.

If the Wizards decide to have a fire sale and their tough start to the season continues, the Kings will be in line for Porter, who has two years remaining on the four-year, $106 million contract he signed last offseason.

The Wizards are 8-13 this year and 1 1/2 games out of the eighth playoff spot.
