The Lakers continue to overhaul their roster.

Los Angeles signed veteran point guard Rajon Rondo to a one-year, $9 million contract and renounced the rights to Julius Randle on Monday, according to ESPN.

Rondo averaged 8.3 points and 8.2 assists per game for the Pelicans last season. The four-time All-Star won a championship with the Celtics in 2007-08 and has also played for the Mavericks, Kings and Bulls.

Rondo has shot just 30.9 percent from 3-point range throughout his 12-year career.

Randle will now become an unrestricted free agent. He averaged a career-high 16.1 points and added eight rebounds per game in 2017-18.

Randle has spent all four of his NBA seasons in Los Angeles.

LeBron James announced Sunday he was leaving the Cavaliers and signing a four-year, $154 million contract with the Lakers. Los Angeles has also re-signed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and added Lance Stephenson and JaVale McGee to its roster.
