According to TheBlast.com, the former heavyweight champion and his business partners broke ground on a 40-acre plot for a cannabis resort in California City, Calif., on Dec. 20.

In the wake of recreational marijuana use becoming legal in California on Jan. 1, Robert Hickman and Jake Strommen teamed up with Tyson to build Tyson Ranch in the Mojave Desert about 110 miles north of Los Angeles.

Tyson will dedicate about 20 acres for cultivation facilities that "will allow master growers to have maximum control of their environment." The ranch will also feature an amphitheater, glamping, an edible factory and an extraction facility.
