Miami G Bruce Brown Jr. undergoing surgery on left foot

Miami sophomore guard Bruce Brown Jr. will be sidelined six weeks as he prepares to undergo surgery Thursday on his left foot, injured in in practice Monday, the Hurricanes announced. 

Brown has started 19 games and leads the team in rebounding (7.1 per game) and assists (4.0) and is second on the Hurricanes in scoring (11.4 points per game).

With him sidelined, it's likely that freshman Chris Lykes and sophomore Dejan Vasiljevic will get more playing time.

Miami is 15-5, 4-4 in the ACC.
