Michael Malone declared "it's party time" after the Denver Nuggets finally sealed an NBA playoff place on Monday.
The Nuggets narrowly missed out on extending their season in each of the last two years, but a 114-105 win over the Boston Celtics ensured they were not to be denied again.

Denver will feature in the playoffs for the first time since the 2012-13 season and coach Malone was ready to celebrate the long-awaited achievement.
"It's party time, man," said Malone. "If you don't celebrate it, we've worked too hard."

Malone says the Nuggets were driven by previous agony as they became the second team from the Western Conference to secure a postseason spot after the Golden State Warriors.
"It's a great feeling," Malone added. "Four years in the making. Two years in a row coming up just shy, one game short.
"Using that as a motivation for this moment."
