ONE Championship is set to stage the biggest combat sports spectacle of 2020.

On 5 October, ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced that four World Title bouts will headline ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX, a closed-door mixed martial arts extravaganza scheduled for 30 October.

Sityodtong revealed the news on his Facebook page.

Aung La N Sang Vs Reinier De Ridder

In the main event, two-division ONE World Champion Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang will defend his ONE Middleweight World Title against Reinier “The Dutch Knight” De Ridder.

The bout may play out on the feet, as both men are known for their striking acumen. But if it does hit the ground, it’ll be interesting to see if the defending World Champion can hold off the black belt judoka in De Ridder.

Christian Lee Vs Iuri Lapicus

In the night’s co-main event, ONE Lightweight World Champion Christian “The Warrior” Lee will defend his strap against #1-ranked lightweight contender Iuri Lapicus.

Lee scorched Japanese mixed martial arts icon Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki in 2019 to win the belt, and by the looks of his last performance against Saygid “Dagi” Guseyn Arslanaliev in the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix Championship Final, it could be a while before a new divisional king is crowned.

Nonetheless, Lapicus is 14-0 and has produced two finishes in two ONE Championship appearances. That makes him a real threat to the World Champion from Hawaii.

Martin Nguyen Vs Thanh Le

ONE Featherweight World Champion Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen will take on #3-ranked featherweight contender Thanh Le.

Nguyen has remained undefeated since capturing the belt in August 2017. But since joining ONE in 2019, so has Le. The Vietnamese athlete has recorded three finishes in three matches, and he’ll be looking to make the featherweight king his fourth.

Xiong Jing Nan Vs Tiffany Teo

Divisional queen “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan will meet old foe and #1-ranked strawweight contender Tiffany “No Chill” Teo.

The pair competed against each other in January 2018, as Xiong defeated Teo by fourth-round TKO for the inaugural Strawweight World Title.

But after climbing the divisional rankings with two wins, Teo will get her chance at redemption as she aims to topple Xiong for the World Title.

Before ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX goes down on 30 October, catch ONE: REIGN OF DYNASTIES on meWATCH or on the ONE Super App at 8:30 p.m. Singapore Standard Time (SGT) this Friday.

Also, Channel 5 will have the action on a same-day delay at 10 p.m. SGT.
