The Lakers are looking for help in lots of places this year.

Los Angeles still has "fondness" for Wizards forward Trevor Ariza, according to a report from ESPN.

Washington has not openly made Ariza available yet, but if it did, the Lakers may try to trade for him.

Ariza has averaged 12.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists between the Suns and Wizards this year.

Washington acquired him in a deal with the Suns in December.

But the Wizards still sit outside of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with a 22-31 record.

The Lakers (27-26) are 10th in the Western Conference and are looking at lots of players before Thursday's deadline including Detroit's Reggie Bullock, Chicago's Jabari Parker and, of course, Pelicans center Anthony Davis.

Davis' agent Rich Paul told ESPN he would not sign an extension with New Orleans and would prefer to be traded.
