Celebrations outside Oracle Arena on Wednesday got out of hand after the Warriors beat the Cavaliers in Game 3 of the NBA Finals nearly 2,500 miles away from Cleveland.
Roughly 20 minutes after a watch party at the Warriors’ home arena concluded, Oakland police and medics responded to calls of shots fired in an adjacent parking lot, USA Today reported.
When responders arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
A statement from the managers of the arena said the man injured was "struck by a bullet in the parking lot" and was in "stable but guarded condition."
The Warriors are still hosting another watch party at Oracle for Friday’s Game 4.
