UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones believes moving up to fight Brock Lesnar would be "a risk" worth taking due to the interest it would command.
American Jones won a 13th world title fight in a row on Saturday and improved his record to 24-1 when he earned a unanimous decision against Anthony Smith at UFC 235 in Las Vegas.
Jones was in just his second fight back since he served a 15-month backdated doping ban, though an independent arbitrator found he "was not intentionally cheating".
The 31-year-old saw off the challenge of Smith, despite being deducted two points for an illegal knee in the fourth round, and Jones then spoke of his interest in fighting former heavyweight champion Lesnar, who has not fought in UFC since 2016 and is currently signed with WWE.
"I figure if I'm going to make the gamble, you might as well go extremely big," Jones told reporters about moving up a weight class.
"Go big or go home. A Brock Lesnar fight, I mean, [it would be] extremely high risk and extremely high reward.
"I don't see myself versus anyone that could bring in the numbers me and Brock could bring in."
However, UFC president Dana White expects Lesnar's next UFC fight to be against Daniel Cormier.
Cormier has fought Jones twice before and lost the first bout in 2015 before being knocked out in the second in 2017, though the latter result was overturned to a no contest after Jones failed a drugs test.
"I think that Brock and Cormier want that fight," White said.
"I owe Cormier a lot. Cormier wants that fight, Cormier is going to get it. I literally have not talked to Brock at all. He's doing his WWE thing, he's one of those guys, when he's ready, he'll call me.
"The Brock fight is Cormier's. When Cormier is healthy, that's his fight."
