Pearly Tan recently shared a ‘love letter’ she got from partner M.Thinaah in the wee hours of May 2019, a testament to the pair’s unbreakable bond until today.

Taking to social media, Tan revealed the contents of the beautiful one full page, hand-written letter from Thinaah at 2.21am.

“I just want you to know that I’m lucky to find someone like you in my life! You basically know everything about me, my life story and how I am as a person.

“I trust you with all my heart. I know I can count on you no matter what. I don’t like seeing you sad or down. You can tell me anything, and I’ll always be there for you. I will never leave your side. You are a special friend to me,” wrote Thinaah in the letter.

Thinaah herself replied to Tan’s heartfelt posting.

“When I read back what I wrote, it’s all true. If there is another chance I can rewrite the letter, one page will never be enough,” she said.

Six years on from that letter, Tan-Thinaah’s bond are stronger than ever, both in their friendship and partnership on-court.

The national pair reached their highest world ranking when they climbed to third last week.

It was the first time a Malaysian women’s doubles pair had scaled that high on the world rankings in 16-years.

It came after they reached their first Super 1000 final at the Indonesia Open, where they lost in three close games against China’s world number one pair Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning.
