National mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei conjured up a huge upset at the Paris Olympics after the Malaysians came from behind to stun their world number two opponents and top their group on Monday.
Chen-Toh came from behind to beat Feng Yan Zhe-Huang Dong Ping 17-21, 21-15, 21-16 to top Group D in a pulsating encounter at the Porte de la Chapelle Arena.

It was a nail-biting victory, especially in the deciding game where the world number two Chinese pair threatened to rally a comeback from 14-20 down, but the Malaysians kept their cool to convert the huge win.
Victory was especially sweet for world number nine duo Chen-Toh, who avenged two consecutive straight game losses to Feng-Huang, with the last defeat coming at French Open earlier this year.
“We told ourselves anything is possible in the Olympics. They are a strong pair and gave us a tough fight, and we are proud to have pulled off this victory. We will rest tomorrow and await any pair in the quarter-finals,” they said.
Chen-Toh, who had beaten Singapore pair Terry Hee-Jessica Tan and Americans Vinson Chiu-Jenny Gai in their first two games, will now wait to face the runners-up from the other groups.
