Malaysian boys doubles clinch Dutch Junior International title
Just as their seniors are preparing for battle at the upcoming Europe events, Malaysian juniors Aaron Tai-Kang Khai Xing made the country proud by bagging the boys’ doubles title at the Dutch Junior International on Sunday.
Tai-Khang, who were the top seeds, turned in a sensational display to oust Chinese pair Hu Ke Yuan-Lin Xiang Yi 21-18, 21-19 for their first title of the year.
Winning the finale in Haarlem also meant the pair emulated the success of Chua Khek Wei-Woon Mun Choon who won it back in 2013.

Tai-Kang have been making steady progress since they paired up to win the National Championships Under-18 event last August.
Besides the pair, Malaysia also finished with two representatives who reached the semi-finals of the tournament in Haarlem last week.
Faiq Haziq-Lok Hong Quan and Siti Zulaikha Azmi made it in the boys’ doubles and women’s singles last four, but were beaten by their Chinese opponents in straight games.
The Malaysian elite contingent, meanwhile, will get ready to do battle at the French Open which begins this week
