National men’s singles shuttler Justin Hoh gave Anders Antonsen a competitive match-play ahead of the World Championships on Monday.
The national contingent are currently in Copenhagen, Denmark to train with the Danish shuttlers who are bound for the World Championships.

The training stint, arranged by national singles coach Kenneth Jonassen, is proving a valuable experience for the Malaysian team, even for shuttlers who are not competing at the world meet.
Hoh, for instance, was impressive in the friendly match against the world number two.
Antonsen posted a clip of a rally where both men were tied at 10-10 in the third game. The Danish ace eventually won the point after Hoh sent a cross-court attempted drop-shot into the net.
But there were encouraging signs from the 21-year-old, who recently reached the Macao Open final.
Hoh looked more patient in the rally, compared to before where he would normally launch into an attack if an opponent sends a high return.
Besides Hoh, Leong Jun Hao is also training with the Danish team.
Both sets of shuttlers have engaged in quality high intensity training with various drills, combined with match-play.
Rasmus Gemke is the Danish shuttler competing in the world meet besides Antonsen, after Viktor Axelsen pulled out to focus on his rehab.
Second seeded Antonsen is set to face Brazilian Jonathan Matias in the first round, while Gemke is up against Chinese Taipei’s Lin Chun-yi.
Leong, meanwhile, will take on Swiss shuttler Tobias Kuenzi.
