The world number two, who lost in the Malaysia Open first round against finalist Kodai Naraoka last week, recovered to win 20-22, 21-19, 21-12 against the Indonesian.

Lee next faces China's Li Shi Feng, who came through after taking down Ng Tze Yong in straight games.

Accompanying Lee were Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi and Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah, who both cleared their matches in straight games.

Chia-Soh beat national team-mates Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun 23-21, 21-10 to set up a meeting again Chinese Taipei Lee Jhe-huei-Yang Po-hsuan, while Tan-Thinaah are also up against another Chinese Taipei pair in Lee Chia-hsin-Teng Chun-shun.

Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi are also through to play Thai pair Supak Jomkoh-Kittinupong Kedren.

Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei, who did well at the Malaysia Open last week, beat compatriots Hoo Pang Ron-Teoh Mei Xing in a closely-fought match.

They next contend against China's Wang Yi Lyu-Huang for a last eight berth.

Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai failed to get through after a straight-game loss against top seeds Zheng Si Wei-Huang Ya Qiong, while Liew Daren retired in the first game against Hans-Kristian Vittinghus.

The veteran men's singles shuttler also withdrew in his second-round encounter against Viktor Axelsen last week after failing to recover from a calf injury.
