Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik were back to their scintillating best to check into the India Open men's doubles final after they overcame Indonesia's Fajar Alfian-Rian Ardianto.

The world champions had to come from a game down to earn the success, battling to a 11-21, 21-15, 21-16 win over the world number one pair.

Alfian-Ardianto came into the match as favourites, especially after capturing the Malaysia Open title last week and facing the under-fire Malaysians who were struggling to recover their world title-winning form.

The Indonesians started well to comfortably take the first game, but Chia-Soh recovered to level the match and did enough in the rubber game to book their first final of the year.

The world number three pair will take on either Kang Min-hyuk-Seo Seung-jae or Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chan for the Super 750 title.

Meanwhile, Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah failed to accompany their team-mates after they crashed out of the women's doubles semis.

Tan-Thinaah were unable to keep up against Nami Matsuyama-Chiharu Shida and lost 14-21, 16-21 against the world number two pair.
