The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) confirmed the men's doubles pair of Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong will be split.
The writing was on the wall since the start of the year with the duo failing to perform up to expectations, and the second-round exit at the 2017 BWF World Championships proved to be the last straw.
For now, Goh and Tan will be respectively paired up with Teo Ee Yi and Ong Yew Sin for the next two tournaments including next month's 2017 French Super Series.
"The new pairs will need time to discover their chemistry and we will assess their performances after two tournaments," BAM president Norza Zakaria said.
