Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik have powered to their second All-England Open final, but the national men’s doubles pair are refusing to get carried away as they prepare for a massive showdown against the defending champions.

Chia-Soh turned in another sizzling performance to beat Chinese Taipei’s Lee Jhe Huei-Yang Po-hsuan 21-16, 21-15 in another clinical victory that was secured after just 36-minutes.

The world number five pair are in menacing form having not dropped a game in their road to the final, but Chia knows the job is far from done.

Standing in their way of a first All-England title are Indonesian pair Fajar Alfian-Rian Ardianto, who won the tournament last year.

“After five years, we have another chance of winning the All-England crown. I am pleased with our performance today, but our task is not yet complete because there is one more match.

“We will get enough rest and be ready to give our all,” Chia told the Badminton World Federation.

Chia was referring to the pair’s 2019 run, which saw them reach their first final but lost in three games against Hendra Setiawan-Mohammad Ahsan.

This time, they face another Indonesian pair who will equally fired up to defend their crown.

Alfian-Ardianto were in equally fine form as they packed off Japanese pair Takuro Hoki-Yugo Kobayashi 21-18, 21-18 to reach their second consecutive final.

Chia-Soh hold a 4-3 win record against the world number seven pair, having last beaten them at last year’s India Open.
