The women's slalom continues to be affected by weather conditions in Pyeongchang as the alpine skiing event is delayed Tuesday night (Wednesday morning in Korea).

The event, which was originally scheduled to take place at 8:45 p.m. ET (11:45 a.m. in Korea), has been pushed back an hour. The second run is now scheduled for 12:45 a.m. ET.

Mikaela Shiffrin is scheduled to make her highly anticipated debut in Pyeongchang as she's set to compete for the U.S. as a favorite to win gold.

Both the women's and men's alpine skiing events were postponed earlier this week as wind gusts reached 45 mph, making it dangerous for the athletes to compete.
