India wrapped up a 3-0 series triumph against West Indies as they won by 96 runs in the final ODI on Friday.

The hosts were in fine form in Ahmedabad in the final match of the series, with Shreyas Iyer (80) leading the way with the bat.

Rishabh Pant (56) offered able support as India posted 265 from their 50 overs, and the bowlers did the rest.

Mohammed Siraj (3-29) and Prasidh Krishna (3-27) were the standout performers, as the Windies were only able to muster up 169 before they were bowled out in the 38th over.

Since the beginning of 2019, Shai Hope has topped the scorecard 13 times in men's ODI matches for the West Indies, the most by any player for the Caribbean nation and the joint-most by any player for any country (Paul Stirling – 13).

But his lbw dismissal from Siraj's bowling in the fourth over set the tone for a dismal innings from the tourists.

Captain Nicholas Pooran got to 34 and some resistance came from the tail in the form of Alzarri Joseph (29) and Odean Smith (36), who struck five sixes and four fours between them, but it was never going to be enough as Siraj and Krishna rounded things off.

India have now won each of their last five home ODIs against the Windies – it is their longest active winning streak on home soil against any side in the format.

Windies misery in India continues

West Indies have now lost eight straight ODI series in India, against no other opponent have they lost more such series in a row on the road.

They have the chance to respond in the upcoming T20 series, though India head into that having completed a whitewash in a multigame ODI series at home for the first time since November 2014 and for the first time ever against West Indies.

Krishna stars again

Krishna recorded his best bowling figures of 4-12 in the second match and he was on top form again on Friday, dismissing Darren Bravo (19) and Jason Holder (six) before getting Joseph at the end.

Joseph and Smith at least instilled some pride into West Indies' display. Since the start of 2019, Windies tailenders (from positions eight to 11) have hit 142 boundaries (45 sixes and 97 fours), more than any other nation.
