Tom Izzo is ready to have his star swingman back.

Miles Bridges will be a game-time decision for Friday's contest against Connecticut as he continues to recover from a sprained ankle.

Izzo said the injury is mild enough that if the team were in the NCAA Tournament, Bridges would be playing, hands down.

"I miss Miles," Izzo said, via ESPN. "I told him on the bench, 'If you ever get hurt again, I'm gonna kill ya.'"

Bridges sustained the injury Sunday and didn't play Thursday in the first round of the PK80 Invitational, where the Spartans defeated DePaul, 73-51.

Bridges, a 6-7 guard-forward combo, was projected to be a top lottery pick in the 2017 NBA Draft but decided to return for his sophomore season to play for a Big Ten title and in the NCAA Tournament again for a national championship.
