Rodtang Jitmuangnon On Competing In ONE's Small Gloves: ‘It’s Going To Be Fun’
The 21-year-old Muay Thai star Rodtang Jitmuangnon is all set to unleash his brand of striking greatness on ONE Super Series.
“The Iron Man” is set to make the 303rd appearance of his professional Muay Thai career when he takes on two-time W5 World Champion Sergio “Samurai” Wielzen at ONE: CONQUEST OF HEROES in Jakarta on 22 September.
The Thai has had a remarkable 2018 already, having defeated Superbank Mor Ratanabandit, Mongkonkeaw Sor.Sommai and Suakim Sit.Sor.Tor.Taew, who recently became a Lumpinee Stadium World Champion.

Now he aims to score another notable win against Wielzen on the biggest stage of his competitive career.
“I don’t know how I’ll do it, but I’m going to get the win, no matter what,” he says.
Rodtang will face a willing dance partner in Wielzen, who has an aggressive style and excellent punching power.
The Dutch-Surinamese striker lost out on his ONE Super Series debut, but he returns against Rodtang looking to make amends in a bout where the Thai will be noticeably smaller than his opponent.
But while Rodtang is well aware of the size difference between the pair, he says he is relishing the prospect of competing under Muay Thai rules in 4-ounce mixed martial arts gloves.
“He is a lot bigger than me,” admits the Bangkok native.
“I am excited for to wear the [smaller] gloves. It’s going to be fun.
“I will make sure I am the last man standing. I’ve got my hands and feet. I won’t be denied.”
Victory will announce Rodtang as another top-drawer contender in ONE Super Series, and he hopes that a win over Wielzen will see him become an even bigger star under ONE Championship’s guidance.
“I’m ready to go where ever ONE Championship will take me,” he adds
