Eddie Pepperell was made to rue a disappointing performance at the Made in Denmark as he missed out on an automatic place in Europe's Ryder Cup team.
Like Matt Fitzpatrick, Pepperell needed a win in Aarhus to stand a chance of jumping ahead of Thorbjorn Olesen into the top eight for a spot on Thomas Bjorn's squad to face the United States at Le Golf National later this month.

Having made the cut at five under, Pepperell shot a disappointing 74 on Saturday, leaving him 13 shots adrift of leader Lee Westwood and effectively out of contention coming into round four.
The Englishman started his Sunday with four pars before gaining some momentum with birdies at five and eight to move him back to five under.
He had picked up another two shots by the 14th but back-to-back bogeys at 16 and 17 summed up a frustrating four days in his bid to usurp Olesen.
Pepperell will now have to wait until Wednesday to see if he has earned a captain's pick.
Only Fitzpatrick can now deny Olesen - who was one over through his first seven holes on Sunday - with the 24-year-old starting his final round six adrift of Westwood.
