The Nuggets announced they waived Nick Young after he was on the roster for just 20 days.

"We want to thank Nick for coming to Denver on such short notice to give us some relief with our injury issues," the team said in a statement. "He immediately fit in with our group and did everything that was asked of him by being the great teammate and consummate pro that he is."

The release indicates Gary Harris or Will Barton should be returning from injury soon. Since the Nuggets would have to clear a roster spot to keep Young around, it's unsurprising that Young was the one on the chopping block.
Young appeared in just four games for Denver, averaging 2.3 points in 9.3 minutes.
