The Rockets are still committed to trying to sign LeBron James.
Houston is “all-in” on its pursuit of James, according to a report from USA Today. But, they are considered a long shot to land the 33-year-old superstar, the report says.

The Rockets finished the regular season 65-17. They held a 3-2 lead on the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals but dropped the last two games of the series and were eliminated. James’ Cleveland team was swept by the Warriors in the NBA Finals.
Rockets star James Harden, who was named the 2018 NBA MVP on Monday, told USA Today the team doesn’t necessarily need to make any major moves in the offseason.
“We're great with what we have, from top to bottom, from the front office to coaching staff to players, personnel,” Harden said. “Our main focus is just getting better, getting healthier.
“You've got to realize — like it's Chris (Paul) and PJ (Tucker) and Luc (Mbah a Moute) and all those new guys, it's their first year. Look where we got to. Imagine a little bit more time together, it can get pretty scary.”
ESPN’s Chris Haynes reported earlier this month the Rockets “were not a realistic” option for James.
James averaged 34 points, 9.1 rebounds and nine assists per game during the Cavaliers 2018 playoff run.
