Castleford Tigers have been dealt another half-back blow after Jamie Ellis was ruled out for between four and six months with a knee injury.
Luke Gale, the 2017 Man of Steel, was already expected to miss the entirety of the Super League season after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Ellis sustained his injury before a pre-season friendly against Featherstone Rovers and has had to have surgery, which will leave him sidelined for an extended period.
A club statement on Twitter read: "Some sad news today as we can confirm that @Ellis_2025 has had to have surgery on a knee injury he sustained in the build up to the Featherstone Rovers friendly.
