LIV schedule a 'blessing' for DeChambeau ahead of Masters

Bryson DeChambeau described his reduced schedule on the LIV Tour as a "blessing" as he gears up for the Masters.
The U.S. Open champion will play in the LIV Golf League event in Miami this week, just the fifth tournament of the series this season.
Indeed, DeChambeau has played in just one four-day tournament since missing the cut at last year's Open Championship, posting a runners-up finish at the International Series event in India.

However, DeChambeau is not overly concerned by a lack of preparation time ahead of featuring at Augusta National as one of 12 players from LIV.
"I think that everybody has their own prep work that they do," DeChambeau said.
"For me personally, I like having time off, getting ready for these events, focusing on them, and getting my game into a good place, getting a strategy and gameplan set up.
"If anything, I think it's been a tremendous help for me personally, giving myself a little bit more time to get ready for these events, and it's honestly been a blessing for me.
"My prep starts the first tournament of the year, whatever that is. I kind of see where my game is at and go off that and iterate off of it.
"I really start to heighten my focus probably two, three weeks before the start of the major season, and I get prepped in that kind of capacity."

The two-time major winner finished in a tie for sixth at the Masters 12 months ago, having held a share of the halfway lead.
Reflecting on that experience, DeChambeau added: "I was so grateful to be there and having fun and competing and being at the top of that leaderboard.
"You're always going to feel nerves, no matter what tournament you're in and especially in majors.
"So yeah, was I feeling pressure? Yeah. Was I doing it for all of LIV? Sure, you can say that.
"For me, I'm just out there trying to win a golf tournament, and if that does great for LIV, then that's awesome.
"But for me, you're still just out there trying to win a golf tournament, and whatever comes from that is awesome."
