“Left Meteorite” Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai faces Rodlek PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym in the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament final this Friday, 28 August, at ONE: A NEW BREED in Bangkok, Thailand.

If “Left Meteorite” defeats his compatriot, he will get a crack at ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao sometime down the road.

Before that happens, however, Kulabdam must be prepared for the test of a lifetime against Rodlek.

“If my bout with Rodlek goes well, I would get to meet Nong-O,” the 21-year-old said. “I will have to be ready and train really hard. Since I want the World Championship, I must get through this.”

If he shows up to the finals the same way he entered the semifinals at ONE: NO SURRENDER III, where he dismantled “The Million Dollar Baby” Sangmanee Klong SuanPluResort by knockout in the first round, it could be another quick night for Kulabdam.

With that said, the Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai standout knows it won’t be so easy against the man they call “The Steel Locomotive.” Rodlek can bang with the best of them, and he has proved time and time again that he has a knockout-punch-absorbing chin.

“Since we have a similar striking style with our kicks and punches, it really depends on who will make the wrong move first,” Kulabdam said. “It’s going to be fun since we both are fierce strikers.

“Rodlek is also a boxer who strikes forward with his kicks and punches. His dangerous weapons are the leg kick, punch, and elbow. Those are the weapons I need to watch out for.”

When asked how he sees this fight going down, Kulabdam was quick to point out that he or Rodlek could win, but “Left Meteorite” also noted that fans should not expect either of them to be standing for the final decision.

“I think it will be an entertaining fight,” he said. “Whoever makes the wrong move first will likely go down. Maybe it won’t last a round.”
