Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin could spend two months on the sidelines due to a medial collateral ligament sprain in his left knee.
The Clippers confirmed the diagnosis on Tuesday after Griffin underwent an MRI, which revealed no other structural damage to his knee.

In a release via Twitter, the Clippers said: "recovery for this injury can take up to eight weeks".
Griffin suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of the Clippers' 120-115 victory over rivals the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.
The five-time NBA All-Star became entangled with Lakers guard Lonzo Ball and Clippers team-mate Austin Rivers.
No foul was called on the collision during a scrum for a loose ball with less than five minutes remaining. Griffin remained in the game for one possession, missing a shot, then checked out and headed to the locker room.
Griffin has been hampered by injuries throughout his eight-year NBA career, having played in 67, 35 and 61 games the past three seasons.
Yet the Clippers signed Griffin to a new five-year, $173million contract during this offseason.
