Convicted serial sexual predator Larry Nassar's boss at Michigan State has been arrested.

Dr. William Strampel, 70, was listed Monday as an inmate in Ingham County, Mich., jail, according to an inmate search on the county's website conducted by MLive.com. No charges were listed, according to the report.

The former dean of the Michigan State's College of Osteopathic Medicine, Strampel is accused of failing to monitor Nassar and enforce guidelines put into place after Nassar was investigated in 2014 for sexual harassment.

Michigan State confirmed Strampel's arrest but didn't provide any other details.

Nassar, already in prison for possessing child pornography, has been sentenced to 40 to 175 years for sexually assaulting girls and women across multiple sports at Michigan State and with the national gymnastics program, including U.S. Olympic teams.

Almost two dozen women say they were molested by Nassar after Strampel allowed him to continue working in the department following the 2014 investigation.

The university is taking steps to terminate Strampel, MLive.com reported.

News of his arrest comes as the state attorney general's lead investigator into how Michigan State handled the Nassar scandal is scheduled to conduct a news conference Tuesday, presumably regarding his findings.
