Jermain Taylor, the former middleweight boxing champion from the mid-2000s, was arrested in Arkansas on Wednesday after he allegedly punched a woman, held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.
Online records show Taylor has been charged with third-degree domestic battery and aggravated assault on a family or household member.

Prosecutors dropped domestic violence charges against Taylor earlier this month stemming from a July 2017 arrest. Similar to Wednesday’s alleged incident, the woman from 2017 alleged Taylor bit her on the arm and face and threatened to kill her.
Taylor, who won a bronze medal at the 2000 Olympics, was given a suspended sentence in 2016 after he pleaded guilty to six counts of aggravated assault, two counts of terroristic threatening and a second-degree battery charge.
