The centre is now set to showcase his talent on the Test stage, with the Kiwis set to face the Kangaroos at Mount Smart Stadium on October 13 before heading to England for a three-match series.

Hooker Brandon Smith, who came off the Storm bench in their defeat to the Roosters, and utility back Jahrome Hughes have also been given a chance by Michael Maguire along with second rowers Corey Harawira-Naera and Isaiah Papali'i.

Storm prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona and Roosters front rower Zane Tetevano have been ruled out due to injuries sustained in the Grand Final.

Maguire welcomes back seven experienced players who missed the defeat to England in Denver in June, with Shaun Johnson, Adam Blair, Gerard Beale, Jesse Bromwich, Kenny Bromwich, Kevin Proctor and Jordan Rapana returning.
