James Anderson lauded England's ability to dig deep as his four-wicket haul sealed another landmark and put the tourists in the ascendancy against West Indies.
Anderson's impressive return of 4-33 came in testing conditions as he and Stuart Broad, not included in the team for the first Test, reached a combined tally of 1,000 wickets in the longest format.

On a day when England were often left toiling at Kensington Oval, Anderson's dogged determination underlined the resolve that eventually saw Joe Root's side claim the upper hand, leaving the Windies vulnerable on 264-8.
"It was a fairly attritional day, we had to stick at it. We did that well," Anderson, his country's leading Test wicket-taker with 567, told Test Match Special.
"All the guys hung in there. We knew the second new ball would be key. We chipped away and it was a good little spell that put us back in the game.

"We think today might be the best day to bat, though we don't know how it will react to the heavy roller. Hopefully it will flatten for us.
"I think it will spin as the game goes on. We would have batted first. It was a tough day for the spinners, but they stuck at their task well. Adil [Rashid] controlled the game when he bowled."
