Greg Eden marked his return from a hamstring injury with a try as Castleford Tigers brought Hull KR back down to earth with a 42-14 win in Super League.

Winger Eden scored one of eight tries in a dominant Castleford display at KCOM Craven Park, as Rovers failed to build on a shock 24-8 victory over Wigan Warriors last time out.

On his 100th Super League appearance, just four of which have come this season, Eden set up winger Kieran Gill for the opener before himself diving over in the ninth minute.

Alex Foster, Matt Cook and Michael Shenton also crossed for the Tigers before half-time, with Ryan Shaw providing the visitors' only response.

Gill got his second in the corner and Jy Hitchcox grabbed a double either side of scores from Chris Clarkson and Shaw, his second after Eden was withdrawn by coach Daryl Powell.

Castleford moved into the top four courtesy of the two points, while Rovers remain second bottom.
