Derrick Rose, who has not played since Nov. 7 because of a sprained ankle, could miss up to three more weeks before he's ready to return to action.
The Cavaliers announced Friday, via NBA.com, that the point guard underwent further evaluation Friday and will have his sprained left ankle placed in a walking boot. He will also "undergo an extended treatment process over the next two to three weeks."

As the NBA MVP for the 2010-2011 season, Rose has missed extensive playing time in recent seasons because of injuries. That's a big reason the 29-year-old player only landed a one-year deal with the Cavaliers.
Rose is averaging 14.3 points per game this season.
