Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison praised the NRL's ambition in its bid to restart, but insisted it would receive "no special set of arrangements".
The NRL was suspended last month due to the coronavirus pandemic, but is aiming to restart on May 28.

While it has faced some criticism, Morrison offered some support for the NRL, although warned health advice would be critical.
"I like the ambition," he told the Nine Network on Tuesday.
"I like that they're planning to try and get the show back on the road at least in some form and that's what we're all trying to do.
"That's what the national cabinet will be doing this Thursday as we look at what needs to be done further to shore us up further so we can look at restrictions easing at some point.

"The NRL are doing no different to that and I like they've got an ambitious date, but it'll be subject to the health advice.
"There'll be no special set of arrangements, the health advice is paramount and I'm sure they'll comply with it."
More than 119,000 people have died from coronavirus worldwide, with confirmed cases exceeding 1.9 million.
