Patrick Beverley will have to pay for his Sunday outburst.
The Clippers guard has been fined $25,000 for throwing the game ball at a spectator during the team's 114-110 loss to the Mavericks, the league announced Tuesday.

Beverley jumped on top of Mavs guard Dennis Smith Jr. in an effort to force a jump ball late in the third quarter, but Beverley's elbow caught Smith in the mouth, knocking out one of his teeth in the process.

Beverley tried to apologize to the Mavs bench after the incident, though his attempt reportedly didn’t go over well.
Beverley walked to the Mavs’ bench during the next break in play to say, “My bad.” He apparently didn’t get the reaction he was looking for, because he then chastised them for not thanking him for the gesture.

Beverley was then ejected early in the fourth quarter after he bounced the game ball at a Mavs fan in the stands.

Beverley finished the game with three points and four rebounds in 17 minutes.
