Claressa Shields' bout in question after opponent's trainer was allegedly 'sucker-punched' during weigh-in

A fight between undisputed women's middleweight champion Claressa Shields and challenger Ivana Habazin is in question after an alleged incident during Friday's weigh-ins.

A member of Shields' entourage allegedly knocked out Habazin's trainer which resulted in a trip to the hospital.

There have been no official changes to the bout, but early reports suggest the fight is canceled.

But Showtime has yet to confirm those reports.

Shields addressed the incident on her Instagram story later Friday.

"Her name is Ivana 'No Excuses', so I'm hoping we don't have none," Shields said.

She continued: "I'm hoping she has another coach that she can fly in and nothing happened to her, something happened to her coach, sadly, but other than that (pause) I don't know."

Shields (9-0, 2 KOs) holds the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO and The Ring female middleweight titles. She also posted a 77-1 amateur record with 19 knockouts.
