Injured guard George Hill will remain sidelined for the Cleveland Cavaliers' game-six clash with the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Eastern Conference first round.

Cleveland announced Hill's absence for Friday's showdown due to lingering back spasms, which also forced the 31-year-old to miss game four and five.

The Cavaliers lead the series 3-2 following LeBron James' heroics on Wednesday and they have a chance to close it out on the road.

Hill averaged 8.7 points and 1.7 assists through the first three games of the series.
