Brother of Olympic gymnast Simon Biles arrested, charged in Cleveland triple homicide

Tevin Biles-Thomas, the 24-yeard-old brother of Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, has been arrested in Georgia after being charged with multiple felonies, including murder, stemming from a New Year’s Eve shooting that left three dead at a party in Cleveland, authorties in Ohio announced (via Cleveland.com).
In addition to multiple counts of murder, Biles-Thomas is charged with voluntary manslaughter, felonious assault and perjury. He was being held Thursday in Liberty County, Georgia, and will be arraigned Sept. 13 in Cleveland, where a grand jury handed up the indictment against Biles-Thomas.
"Cleveland Police's Homicide Unit conducted an investigation and identified Tevin Biles-Thomas as a shooter in the incident. … It is through their hard work that we can begin to seek justice for these victims," a joint statement by the Cuyahoga County prosecutor's office and Cleveland police said, in part.

Biles-Thomas, who went to high school in Cleveland and currently is serving in the U.S. Army, was taken into custody Thursday at Fort Stewart in Southwest Georgia, according to online jail records. He is the only person charged thus far in the shooting at a party at an Airbnb rental in Cleveland that killed three and injured two others.
Simone Biles, 22, hasn't commented publicly although she posted a cryptic tweet Thursday, after news broke of her older brother's arrest that read only: "eating my feelings don't talk to me".

Her representatives did not return messages by Cleveland.com seeking comment.
USA Gymnastics released a statement (via People.com) that read: "In this challenging time for Simone Biles and her family, USA Gymnastics offers our continued support to Simone, her family and her gymnastics family. This is a very personal and private situation for the Biles family and we will respect their privacy and hope others will do the same."
The three victims who died suffered multiple gunshot wounds, according to police, who at the time said a fight broke out after a group of men showed up to the New Year's Eve party uninvited and were asked to leave. Gunfire ensued and three men were killed and man and a woman were seriously wounded.
